Rapid Rehousing

For households who are literally homeless.

Rapid Rehousing (RRH) assists eligible households who are residents of Chelan or Douglas counties and are experiencing homelessness. These programs provide financial assistance to move into permanent housing, stability planning, assistance to identify permanent housing, and on-going case management throughout the client’s enrollment in the program.

General Eligibility Requirements

  • Literally homeless (sheltered or unsheltered- see below) at the time of application for assistance.
    • Sheltered Homeless: Residing in a temporary housing program (i.e.: Emergency shelter, transitional housing, actively fleeing domestic violence).
    • Unsheltered Homeless: Residing in a place not meant for habitation (i.e.: car, park, abandoned building, etc.) or fleeing domestic violence.
  • Meet program income eligibility requirements.
  • Identified as the next household on the prioritization list via the Coordinated Entry process by completing a housing assessment with the Homeless Housing Network.

• Assistance with first and last month’s rent
• Deposit assistance
• Utility assistance (in some instances)
• Application fees (in some instances)
• On-going rent assistance
• Case management
• Housing stability planning

CDCAC currently offers Rapid Rehousing services through these programs:

  • Tenant Based Rental Assistance (TBRA)
  • Consolidated Homeless Grant (CHG)
  • Housing and Essential Needs (HEN)
  • Community Behavioral Health Program (CBRA)
  • Youth Homeless Demonstration Grant (YHDP)
