The form is an agency volunteer orientation followed by a short quiz and an application. Please complete all parts. Some volunteer positions will involve additional training.
*A background check is required and will be initiated via email.
Current Opportunities
- Teach ESL-English as a Second Language to adult learners twice per week for a small class of 1-5 people. Classes are 1.5 hr long and the commitment is about 4 months long.
- Be a driver for Green Bags! Pick up donated food in your neighborhood with a scheduled route five times a year and deliver it to our food distribution center
- Volunteer in a food pantry or warehouse
- Teach SAIL (Stay Active & Independent for Life) exercise classes to seniors
Food Distribution Center
The Food Distribution Center is in need of several volunteers to help with day-to-day activities such as gleaning food from various local grocery stores, cleaning and organizing the Distribution Center, and delivering food to our area food banks and programs. AmeriCorps Seniors
If you’re retired or a senior: consider joining the AmeriCorps Seniors program. AmeriCorps Seniors is for volunteers 55 and older to lend their time and expertise in community service to non-profit organizations.
Literacy Council
The Literacy Council always has a need for community members to volunteer as tutors. No knowledge of Spanish is necessary.
